When Medici approached us with the brand refresh, one of the things we agreed was necessary was to analyze not only their own in-store customer experiences, but competitor's coffee shops as well. 
The Medici owners took a trip to Seattle and Portland armed with an experience questionaire we prepared for them, to record their experiences along the way. This information was later analyzed and presented back to them in the form of a customer journey. 
Medici, the coffee institution responsible for craft coffee in Austin came with the goal of updating and expanding their brand.
In 2015, Caffe Medici grew to four coffee shops including their South Lamar store. Because Austin is the fastest growing city in the U.S., Medici's dominance is soon to be challenged by other local and national brands. Medici continues being among the best in Austin. I'm proud that my company, Sputnik, has been a part of Medici's continued success in Austin.
