Slime Typeface
I created the original Slime typeface prototypes in late 2010 in a drawing/painting program on my (then) new iPad. They were very colorful all drawn with my finger, a unique way to start the process of designing a typeface. From there I created some watercolor versions, and ultimately jumped back on the computer, doing the Le Café Hermetíque letterforms. About the same time, I was working on an art show of some handlettering work, which ended up incorporating this look. I still really like the loose style, but the inner Dieter in me wanted everything to be more clean and mathematical, a contrast to the gooeyness. I'm happy with the results, and how it went from being slime, to blood, to cake icing .. based solely on the color choices. If you'd like a copy, let me know.
